I'm Eddie, Thematic's new Product Manager, and I'm excited to share my first product update with you. You spoke, and we listened! Based on your valuable feedback from our recent NPS survey, we've shipped improvements across five key areas of Thematic. These updates are all about making the platform more powerful and easier to use - plus, they're all available right now.
Let's dive into what's new!
1. Streamlined Data Exports: Your Data, Your Way
We know how important it is to get your feedback data exactly where you need it. That's why we've made exports more flexible and powerful than ever:
- Automatic exports to your preferred platforms (we started with SFTP, but tell us where you want to export next!)
- Save your custom views with all settings intact - perfect for consistent reporting
- Quick exports that maintain all your customizations
Let's say you're tracking customer satisfaction trends across different regions. All you need to do is:
- Set up your view with filters for region and time period
- Save this view as "Regional CSAT Quarterly"
- Schedule automatic exports to your SFTP server every quarter
In the above example, your regional managers will automatically receive updated CSAT data without any manual work from you!

2. More Intelligent Themes Analysis (Themes V2)
Our theming system just got a major upgrade! Here's what's new:
- Smarter theme creation that aligns perfectly with your business context
- Theme migration between datasets (because who wants to start from scratch?)
- On-the-fly theme creation while reviewing comments - capture insights the moment you spot them
Let’s describe the theme creation in action: Imagine you're going through NPS feedback and notice comments about a new feature on your app. Now, you can immediately:
- Highlight the relevant text in a comment
- Create a new theme called "New Feature Feedback"
- Set up sub-themes for "Bug Reports," "Feature Requests," and "Positive Feedback"
- Apply these same themes to your app store feedback with one click

3. Improved Email Digests: Stay Informed, Your Schedule
Getting insights to your team is now easier than ever:
- Schedule quarterly and annual digests - perfect for tracking long-term trends when data is added on a regular cadence
- Clear filter visibility so you always know what you're looking at
- Customizable scheduling that fits your team's workflow
Take this scenario: your account teams want to see how their customer feedback tracks over time. Now you can:
- Set up a dashboard digest with the scores, themes and visualizations
- In the dashboard, apply filter for a customer spend segment
- Schedule it for quarterly delivery
The digest will show exactly which filters are applied (e.g., "High spend customers | Last 90 Days | Store Feedback"), so there's never any confusion about what you're looking at.

4. Thematic Answers is now smarter
We've made our AI-powered insights tool even more intuitive:
- Real-time dataset visibility - always know what data you're analyzing
- Quick dataset adjustments - switch contexts without losing your flow
- Improved accuracy across all your feedback sources
You can make adjustments after you ask your question. Let’s say you’ve selected two datasets, and asked a question: "What features do people talk about in Q4?"
- See instantly that you're pulling from Support tickets and NPS Survey
- Realize you only want to look at Support tickets. Click change datasets and deselect NPS Survey
- Select Answer, and get insights for the Support tickets only.

5. Better Data Management: More Control, Less Hassle
Managing your feedback data is now smoother than ever:
- Direct downloads from jobs - no more unnecessary steps
- Full history view with status updates
- Streamlined processing that saves you time
With streamlined processing, you'll save time and always know where things stand.
