It’s been another few months of putting our heads down to ship features and enhancements that solve the frictions that add up over time.
Many of these updates came directly from conversations with you: team meetings on Thursdays but reports arriving on Mondays, scrolling through hundreds of themes looking for one specific phrase, spending time reformatting insights for presentations.
Here's what we've solved in Q3 of 2025.
We know you need to be able to guide the AI analysis, while managing themes efficiently. We’ve improved this in a few ways:

We continue to focus on removing friction in reporting and notifications, to take the hassle out of delivering insights and data. We’ve streamlined your reporting in a few ways:

Many of the updates we’re sharing today started as conversations with you - on calls with our product team, in reviews with customer success, and through the feedback you’ve taken the time to share. We always learn a lot from those moments, and they directly shape what we build.
Some of the problems you raised weren’t possible to solve - until now. With the rich experience of our product and research teams and the latest advances in language models, we’ve been able to turn that potential into practical, reliable solutions. Here’s what we solved for you in the second quarter of 2025.
We know you need to be able to trust what the AI finds and explain it to others. We've tackled this in a few ways:
More Confidence in Your Analysis

We've focused on helping you cut through the noise and act on insights faster:

Check out our Knowledge base for all the details if you want to dig into setup and best practices.
Better CSV exports with field selection checkboxes, performance improvements for large datasets over 100k, and a cleaner theme editor interface with improved drag-and-drop.
Next quarter we're focused on making insights accessible to people who aren't analysts: your managers and executives who need answers but don't want to learn how to query data. We’re also looking at how we can help our customers combine datasets to get comprehensive analysis views for different team needs.

This month, we're excited to share some key enhancements designed to make your customer feedback analysis even more efficient! We’ve introduced new ways to group your data with the Export Assistant and rolled out improvements to Answers that will streamline your workflow.
Here’s a quick look at what’s new:
1. Export Assistant Improvements
The Export Assistant now offers even greater flexibility for your reporting. In addition to grouping data by time periods, you can now organize it by non-date segments like score and country. This update helps you create more tailored reports, saving time and simplifying your analysis. If you have access to the Analysis tool, this feature is available to you.

2. New Updates to Answers
More Accessible Links:
You can now access Answers from multiple areas in the product, including the Welcome Page, Dashboard, and Analysis tools. This makes it easier to get insights wherever you are in Thematic! Your selected dataset will seamlessly carry over into Answers, so you can keep working without interruptions.
Learn how to use Answers here.
Pinned Comments:
When reviewing large sets of comments, you can now pin the most relevant ones. This makes it easy to revisit important comments later, or direct others to your pinned comments when sharing your saved answers. Simply use the 'Pinned' toggle button to filter them.

Enhanced Multiple Dataset Support
We've improved Answers’ ability to handle multiple datasets. Previously, if a question couldn’t be answered across all selected datasets, no answer was provided. Now, if at least one dataset has an answer, it will be displayed—reducing errors and giving you more insights faster.

We've got so much goodness to share, that this month we've broken down the product updates into a series of emails.
Here's the first look at what we've been built...
1. Highlighting Themes on Conversational Analytics:
Our new and improved feature within the Analysis tool now offers summarized insights, automated scores, and conversation references. Based on initial feedback from the beta, we’ve made improvements so you can click on themes to see segments in the summary and references to the original conversations.
Existing customers can join the beta, just reach out to your Customer Success Manager to find out how to add your data. You can learn more about using Conversational Analytics in our Knowledge base.

2. Improvements to Answers:
Since it’s launch, Answers has become your go-to tool in Thematic. We rolled out some updates to improve its value. Answers is ready and available to all users on Core and Explorer seats. So dive in and explore the new features!
Email Sharing of answers:
Previously, we’ve made it easier to share saved answers with other Thematic users by creating direct links.
Now, with email sharing, you can share the insights with anyone, even those without a Thematic account. Your colleague can now review the insights from Answers, along with any message you want to add, all wrapped up in a user-friendly email format.
